Any one try snowshoeing as a crosstraining activity? I just tried it for the 1st time and it really worked the hamstrings and high achilles area, as well as the quads. I ran 6 miles this morning, ate breakfast and then tried the snoeshoeing. My heartrate got pumped up and I heated up as quickly as I do when I run. I enjoyed it and will add it to my regular workouts - as the snow permits.
