I am creating my baby registry and was wondering what people thought was the better stroller for running..the BOB Ironman(yellow one) or the revolution. Thanks for any help!

depends on how you'll use it. I wouldn't recommend the Revolution at all....it's for casual/occasional jogging and mainly stolling (hence the rotating wheel that can be locked). If you'll be running on smooth, paved roads or trails the Ironman is lighter. If you also want to be able to go on bumpier roads, or use it in parks for non-running, go with the Sport Utility. I have the Sport Utility and use it for everything up to 15-milers, including tempo runs with no issues - I generally love it. I'm sure the Ironman would be a bit faster/smoother, but I like that I can take it through trails as well. Seems more versatile to me.
Thanks, is this the one you have?
I have the BOB Revolution and I absolutely love it. It's the best piece of baby gear I have and worth every penny. I use it for runs (mostly on roads) as well as walks around the neighborhood and to the grocery store. I like that the front wheel pivots for easy manuevering which is great inside the little stores and shops that we walk to. I started running with my daughter when she was 6 weeks old using the car seat attachment. I would recommend the extra $50 for that so that you can use it sooner. I didn't let me daughter sit in the seat until she was about 4 months old. You probably can't go wrong with any of the BOB brand strollers though.
And I actually disagree that the Revolution it is mostly for strolling and casual running. It is great for running on roads and smooth trails. I'm not a trail runner so can't speak to more rugid trails. I have logged many many miles with it already with the added bonus that it also is good for walking + inside stores.
I have the BOB Ironman. Have had it since 2005 and started running with my youngest when he was 4-5 months. He's now almost 4 and I can still push him in it fine. We've even done a few 20-milers together, and I've also pushed him while doing repeats. The stroller is solid! Never had any issues with it except the occasional flat tire from running over a goat head (I live in the sticks).
Baby on the way and we purchased the Revolution. I'm lucky enough that I'll be able to get away and run without the stroller but my husband is interested in doing my second/easy run with me. I didn't want to get two strollers and the ironman doesn't fold as small and can't be used in stores or parks. We got the car seat adapter as well.
As far as running on trails. I don't have any idea what type of trails people can take strollers on. Not in SW Virginia or NC.
I've taken our Ironman everywhere... stores, parks, even marathon expos, which are packed beyond belief. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
There aren't traditional trails where I live, just canal banks, and the stroller has been fine on those as well.
Good luck with the baby!!! :)
REVOLUTION!!!!!
BOB is discontinuing the IRONMAN because of a lack of popularity.
One reason: revolution has the swivel wheel in the front. SOOO convenient when turning. you can lock it if you're worried about jossling or running on a bike path.
buy the revolution.
