They are a way better colour way than the normal ones, Gutted they're not my size!
Wow. You both spelled colour like hosers!
It's called Queens English numbnuts!
Fuck the Queen, the only queens we know go around in drag.
We kicked you a** in the American Revolution, so we now determine what is proper English.
They are sweet, the flag inside indicates that are limited edition, made especially for USA Nike sponsored athletes going to the Olympics.
There also made some for Kenyan athletes and China athletes.
Why does Nike make a running shoe named after Dikembe Matumbo? Wouldn't a basketball shoe be more appropriate?
Sorry, but those are the Russian colors

Olympic Rob should bid on those!
its not named after a basketball player. nike asked lagat what the shoes should be named. lagat looked at the whole in the back and it reminded him of a sacrificial goats rear end. somehow the word matumbo relates to this in the kenyan language
I've heard that story before about Lagat naming the spikes.
The Matumbo
“Six guys were wearing the Victory in Osaka. We gave them the shoes the night before the prelims. We gave them to them to run in for the rest of the summer but they ran in them in Osaka. Webb set the US record in them.”
In the World Championships Bernard Lagat had a word written on the side of his shoe – Matumbo. This is the name that was given to the middle distance version of the Victory. This shoe uses the Ventulus 2 outsole/midsole unit. But the spike plate no longer has fixed pins but new lighter receptacles allow removable spikes to be used with no increase in weight. The name has its roots in Kenyan celebrations.
“When they have won something they slaughter a goat. The Matumbo is the part they save for the end. It is the lower intestines of the goat.”
While the rear end of a goat’s guts might not be what you’d expect a shoe to be called, or expect to be eating after a race the name has stuck.
John told shoeguide.co.uk: “The Matumbo is for the 5K and the Victory for the 1500m. Some will wear the Victory in the 5K.”
The USA Matumbos feature a navy to white upper with red and white flywire, a white midsole/outsole and a red spike plate. The USA Victories are the same.
Are they not just the ones you can buy at eastbay? the standard color?
I love dem spikes.... wrote:

I think you meant that the Matumbo is the DISTANCE version of the Victory
matumbo roughly translates to the word "guts" we'd use in the u.s. when used as a positive racing term.

Why are you stupid? His name is Dikembe MUTUMBO not MATUMBO.
"Who wants to sex Matumbo?"
A bit off topic but I'm selling 2 pairs of new Victory's and Matumbo's on ebay, returned without tags but never worn. They are cheap, check em out.
