No kidding. Isn't he like 6'1 and 145 pounds? That's pretty light.
This dude is not no 145 pounds.

Don't think that's considered a Hulk.
Solinsky is 6' 172 lbs. That's ain't skinny at all. Add another 15 lbs on that frame, he could have been a RB on the Badger Football team, lol. See Wikipedia reference.
I'd hate to see what you think of me.
These guys barely look like they work out. They are not huge by any stretch.
Solinsky's kind of an anomaly. Though as this interview is from June this year, it sounds like he's probably closer to 160 now...
RW: I'm pretty sure I've seen some message board cracks about your weight. Do you perceive yourself as being slightly heavier than your contemporaries in the 5000?
CS: I'm definitely built bigger. Last year, I'd say I was definitely heavier. I've lost right around 10 pounds from last year, and I can tell. I feel a lot better. But in obviously I'm a little bit bigger than my competitors, but in no way does that ever affect the way I approach the race. I kind of joked when I ran 13:12 a couple of years ago "yeah, I probably have the weight class world record."

Solinsky will never be a waif, but he has dropped a fair bit of weight this season. Look carefully at pics from the WC Trials and the OG Trials, and I think he has lost a bit since June.
Teg's nowhere near as heavy at Solinsky, though. Chris is a hulk by distance running standards, but Matt looks like a pretty normal distance runner to me for a guy his height.
solinsky is 6'1" 164 right now.
that is pretty damn lean for anyone with his frame.
you ppl on crack.
that kenyan guy daniel tergat who won all the world xc races is also 6'1....but he's 135 pounds. that's lean.

true - but not many kenyans have a frame like solinsky.

No, you are mistaken. That is skinny. Read what I said, fool. Lean with his "FRAME"Uneducated c***.

Asbel Kiprop is 6'2" and listed variously as 136 or 154 lbs. Looks more like 136 to me.
There is a difference between lean and skinny. Genetics will predispose Kenyans to be "skinny" while most caucasians will be "lean".

i believe his first name is paul
Teg is certainly not too heavy for a 5,000m race, but there's no way that much bulk could make it through a 10k.
