Faster than a turd on a stick I guess. Fa...hell if I know. Whatever.
What was she doing there anyway? Still, not slow.

Why is she racing at the UK championships if she is Ethiopian?
And this is amazing... the 30 minute barrier finally getting broken, all by Ethiopians or ones with Ethiopian origins so far (not counting Wang Junxia).
Needed to run sub 30:11
to make world championship team
10k only event where foreign athletes can compete
No Baddelley in the men's 1500?
18:55 - 10000 METRES - Women - Final OFFICIAL RESULTS
1 Meseret DEFAR 29:59.20 SR
2 Aheza KIROS 31:21.22 SB
3 Lineth CHEPKURUI 31:31.92 PB
Lineth was tearing up the roads here in the US. Shows us how fast the ethiopian track starts are.
The Ethiopian team has 30:11 as the slowest member. Holy Cow!
Dibaba, Defar, Melkamu all run Sub 30 and Wude Ayalew has 30:11
Lineth will not be selected for the Kenyan team, had a 31.00 to beat (was 2nd on the Kenyan trails, maybe too much tearing of those US roads?), Kenya has a 30.11 (Utrecht 13th June)runner who will be in a sub 30 form in Berlin, but Florence Kiplagat will not be selected as she was light injured during and skipped the trails and the Kenyan federation will not give out a wild card.
Was Dibaba not automatic qualified as the defending champion, so Ethiopia is allowed to send 4 athletes?

Why send a fourth runner when the first three will get all the medals on offer.

Why run seven runners in cross country if only five score and the sixth is used as the tie breaker?
Because shit happens.
Kara Goucher got her bronze medal in 2007 because Mestawat Tufa dropped out.
Total fraud, doped to the gills.
Yes, you sound like it

You can't offer anything to support your claims. Nothing like the Chinese, the Ethiopians haven't gone from 15:20 to WRs in a single season, and they run their best in Europe and America, and not at home.
None of Defar's training partners have ever been shown to use drugs, and thus her coach has no history of drugs (unlike Ma or the Eastern Europeans).
You have nothing but your jealously and own feelings of inferiority, is that right?
Yea really. I mean she's only run a 14:12 for 5k. There is no possible way she can go sub 30 for a full 10k.
Paula Radcliffe's 10,000m PR is 30:01.09

Yes indeed, good things are going to happen when this crop of ladies moves up.
I was there and it was amazing. The crowd was going crazy. Also, it was driving rain, not the best of conditions in my opinion, but the good thing was it was cool, below 20C I reckon, unlike earlier in the day when it had been fairly warm.
It was impressive that she run it in rain. I remember Paula also run her PB in driving rain. Her splits were interesting 15:05 and 14:54(?). With a 2:48 last km (based on a 61 second last lap) She had a lot left. It is no doubt that Meseret Defar has a very strong drive of the greats Tulu and Paula and has more talent.
I believe that the Ethiopian Ladies will break paula's records. Paula's record is unbelievably impressive...but i think that one of these guys (Defar, Dibaba, Melakamu) will run 2:14
yes maybe in few years when they move up
But i honestly believe that Wangs world 10k record
29:31:78 will go in the next 2 or 3 years
I believe that Defar and Dibaba are probably
already capable maybe not Melakamu.
