who do you see having the best year? Teg looked like he wasn't even breathing hard after that 53second closing lap.
Solinsky also looked strong and then there's the unknown upside of Jager. How about Teg: 13:02, Solinsky: 13:08, Jager: 13:14.

My predictions
Teg: 12:59 if he gets into a fast enough race
Solinsky: 13:04
Jager: 13:14
Tegenkamp and Solinsky are going to do damage in the WC final.
Of course Teg will have the best season. He had blood transfusions.
If I'm not mistaken Jager or Teg need the A standard 13:20 or Jager does not run in Berlin. Jager will definitely get into a fast race before Berlin- hope he gets 13:15 or so. WC require qualifying heats and finals if they make it are usually tactical so hopefully they get one more shot after that. If so, Solinsky PRs around 13:00 with Teg right there. Teg was faster than Solinsky at Nationals but maybe not at 13:00 pace.
Well Teg has have much better PR's than Solinsky at every distance so I would think Tegenkamp would be better at a faster pace. Obviously.
And Teg just beat Solinsky in their most recent race so obviously Tegenkamp is in better shape...

false
teg 13:14
solinsky 13:15
jager 13:22
So you are saying Teg runs 10 seconds off of his PR and Solinsky 3 seconds? What makes you come to that conclusion.
This is the best they have ever looked at this point in the season. Solinsky ran 13:18 a month ago. They trained at altitude for the first time. They are another year more experienced and stronger runners.
I don't see any reason why Teg won't run around low 13 and Solinsky break 1310 assuming they get in fast races this year.
Evan is the wildcard and anything around 1315 would solidify an already remarkable year!

I'd say Teg looked better the year he ran 8:07 at Pre. He's done good this year considering his injury, I think he'll break 13 in 2010 if he can stay healthy
Solinsky should be elbowed for wearing his dork sox
i think those are fair predictions. i'm not sure if they'll run any 5k's after worlds, otherwise i wouldn't bet on them running those times at worlds simply because it'll be hard to predict how the final goes. they definitely won't run those times in the heats, so it would have to be in the finals, and i can imagine that with bekele, lagat, kipchoge, and some other notables who can dip below 13, i can see it being a faster race. unless bekele is REALLY confident in his ability to outkick kipchoge, lagat, and anyone else with a threatening kick(teg could be in there), he's going to have to run similar to the way he did at the olympics. run negative splits for the last 2k, slowly running away from the field, but leaving just enough in the tank to close well below 60 for the last 400m.
i'm hesitant to say that jagermeister can run a faster 5k this summer simply because it's to know if he has the strength to last him through the season being able to run at top level for that distance. he has been training around the year like a professional though, and schumacher seems to bring out better and better performances in his athletes, so I guess i shouldn't doubt any of their potential. i think jager will be very good in the future, but based upon what they've all run so far, their individual running histories and strengths and so forth, i would make these predictions for where i think they could be for 1500m, 3k, 5k if they were to get into a fast race sometime after worlds.
tegenkamp: 3:33, 7:33, 13:02
solinsky: 3:35, 7:35, 13:08
jagermeister: 3:35, 7:39, 13:15
