It's hard to get really excited about Verzbicas because he may not even pursue track in the long run. If he's still breaking records senior year and decides to run in college, then I'll be interested. The mile and 2 mile fields are good. Like last year, major players are missing like Trevor Dunbar, Thomas Porter, Drew Shields, Jacob Zivec and Chris Schwartz. Last year Fernandez and Derrick didn't compete indoors. Outdoor should be more interesting, Hopefully more runners will give 4:00 a scare, with over a dozen runners having the potential to break 9:00, and half dozen under 8:50. The group could compare favorably overall to last year's stellar performance at NON, even without a record-setting performance from someone like German.
