It is sad that with the technology we have now that most US road championships can't get result up immediately.
In fact, they should have live results and splits!
Very sad Dougie

They've always been bad at this. It's pathetic. The IAAF always has things up instantaneously.
The local organizing committee runs the meet moron. It's like Doug Logan comes to the meet and sets up the timing system. USATF only has 30 employees man.

Updating a website with results takes a few minutes. It's a trivial task and any race organizer can get it done if they choose to.
USATF could very easily make it a requirement of any national championship - and it would be very easy to comply.
Where are you Fannin? You posted on here about 1,000 times about great the field was going to be, and now no results?
Isn't it great how Flotrack has interviews up before USATF has any results up? That is just pathetic.
Just got back to a computer ...
New timing team this year - we were a little disappointed that it took a little while.
Huge pack through 5k (in 14:30)- led by Carney.
4:39 - 4:40 - 4:39
At 5k, Familglietti took off his (white) sunglasses and tossed them into the crowd ..
He then proceeded to break a gap that extended from 30 yards at 4 miles to over 100 yards by 10k (28:52)
The race was basically over ... so we thought.
At the top of the bridge we noticed Tim Nelson making up ground fast (deja vu from XC Nationals)
Nelson drew up and actually passed Fam with about 30 yards to go..
Fam lloked up in horror, (he had no idea Nelson was there) and, full of adreanaline, passed him back with about 10 yards to go.
Great Race !!
More later ....
Check out FloTrack for videa !!
Men's team race was a TIE 34-34

HANSONS 4th with 52 points.
TEAM US MN WON WOMEN'S DECISIVELY

So who was the timing team?
Is it typical "you get what you pay for"?
There are plenty of good timers out there who can at least get results up after the race. I'm not even asking for live results.

Is it really that hard to just put up results (more than the top 10) for a National Championship race? Just a simple results sheet. Four hours after the completion of the race is more than enough time. It's like having the first round of the NFL playoffs not televised and reporting the score hours after the game is completed.
I have complete results posted on the wall next to me but I don't like your attitude. You will wait.
Except millions of people care about the outcome of the NFL game. Aside from those at the race, I really doubt there are more than a few hundred across the country who really care about immediate results from this 15k. Even most track fans are fine with waiting.
as I said - whiinneee - bitch - get a life loser
Full results (via Gate River Run Homepage):
Look at the womens rsults they can't be right.
Samia Akbar 54:39? Is that the kind of unlikely result you are talking about?
It is fixed now. I noticed it earlier, would have been great for Amy and Katie -- they both had run under 29 mins for the 10K!
