Has anyone worn the Nike Air Zoom Elite+ 4? I'm looking for a lighter weight trainer and was wondering what your experience was with the shoe.
Thanks!

I'm on my second pair of the 4's, and I've worn every model of the elites, each model has gotten a bit more "substantial" but they are still my go to shoe. I like them a lot. I think they wear out a bit quick though.
The elite 3 bothered me. I don't know maybe too much shoe. After 10 miles I started to feel like I was in a war with the shoes. Currently on my 5th pair of Luna trainers and I really like them but wish I had a shoe to alternate with the Luna.
Would you say they've gotten more "substantial" because they've added more cushion to the outsole, or just because they added a bunch of needless crap?

The def' have more cushion than the elite 3's. I still really like them, they just don't "feel" as fast as prior versions. Like I said, I think each version has added a bit cushier feel.
The victory trainer reminds me of the original elites, a good fast feeling shoe. I'm also rotating a pair of luna trainers in, which I also really like for the days I'm feeling a bit beat up.
I'm going to be using them as trainers for easy runs and long runs; I wear the Streak XC's for workouts.
Besides the Elite 4 being a stability shoe and the Victory a neutral shoe, how would you compare the cushioning between the two?

The elites feel more cushioned than the victories. The victories feel like a beefier version of the streak xc's.
they're my favorite training shoe. to give you an idea of my fit/running style, I say this having also worn (and/or wearing) stuff like asics ds-trainers, mizuno inspire, new balance 900-series, etc.
May try the victory bc I did like the elites of old. How is the toe box of the victory. I can't wear anything narrower than the elite.

Vitctory is wider than the elites.
Not trying to change the subject of the thread too much, as I have not tried the elite 4 yet. I switched after the elite 3s because I felt like the heel was too high. I was a big fan of the elite I and IIs, maybe my favorite shoes ever, but was very disappointed by where the shoes have gone since then. I wish I could still get the I and IIs.
I just went and tried on a pair of the Elite 4 during my lunch break, and did not like them. The heel is pretty high, and they have this weird "bulge" in the outsole forefoot that I can feel on the ball of my feet. I decided to stick with what I was wearing (Adizero Tempo).
Thanks for all of the information though!
Can we talk about how crazy hard this Olympic marathon course is?
