Wondering what kind of shape Meb is in presently versus Ritz being able to run well down south?

I pick local runner Luis Armenteros for the upset
I would like to see them push each other, perhaps one of them breaking 61 minutes. I think that is possible. I will take Ritz due to prolonged healthy training and being on the upswing, versus Meb being slightly on the downside.
I'll say Ritz in 60:21!!!
neither cracking 62.
I'd love to see Carlson take this in like 60:23!

Don't forget old man Wade. He ran a 10k threshold run in 31:08 last week. Not bad for 42. Might be able to run a 66.
Whatever you say BR!! Good luck breaking 2:40
While your at head down to the track and do a few 200s all out. Just to make sure that hamstring is ok.
This is a tune-up for London. No fast times.
tune ups are not done 3 months out. these guy haven't even started marathon specific training yet.
I think Meb will win in a kick, 60:45
Armenteros ran that threshold with him- for a pr-31:08 10k. Not bad for 35
Ritz with the head, Meb with the heart
However it shakes out, this should be a good weekend for racing. Weather should be good with little wind and no rain. I pick Ritz in a close race, around 61.

just a guess, but i wonder if ritz is running this race to compare where he stands to halls 59:43 there.
ritz in 60:07
dobson in 60:09
Ritz ran a tough marathon just 4-1/2 months ago. Then he took a lot of time off. I don't think his training can be back to the point where he is able to run fast.
I say 1:01 something for Ritz...the guy can run 4:40 pace in his sleep.
We just put up a nice article that David Monti wrote about Ritz's preparations for Houston and 2009.
I refuse to believe that the Olympics was just a bad race for Hall and a good one for Ritz. He may not run 59:43 right now, but I expect Ritz to roll.
Anyone know if there is a video stream or television of the half?
