What Saucony running shoes do you wear? Why?
I had a couple of pairs of Omnis that were pretty good. I had been using 2120s and wanted to mix it up a little bit. I've since switched to Nike Structure Triax but not for any real reason. The Omnis were a bit firm but so are the Nikes.
I wear the Guide. I think the actual name is ProGrid Guide, but I could be wrong. These felt the best at the shoe store when I tried on several types and brands.
which ones had the balsam wood medial posts? those were the ones i trained in 2 years ago. they were really nice untill termites got too them and ruined them. OB at my local running store told me the yellow colored ones were discontinued and i didnt want to go with pink so i switched shoes.
Has anyone had any problems with the Triumphs? or Ride/Guide?
My wife reps the guide.
Used to wear them all the time, but for some reason the shoes don't work for me anymore. Either the shoes have changed, or I've changed.
I wear the Triumphs and love them!
I rotate the Saucony Tangents and the Ascics DS-Trainers. I like the tangents because they are light, but still have more cushioning than the ds trainers. The original tangents had a snug heel and a flexible forefoot. They were awesome. The tangent 3s are slightly less awesome, but I still like them.
I wear the pro grid paramounts and absolutely love them. I was thinking of getting a pair of the fastwitch though? Anyone have any reviews of those?
I have the orange fastwitch. I love them and use them for local 5k road races, tempos, intervals, and faster fartleks. At 170 I am too heavy to run with these over 6 miles without feeling it everywhere the next day.
I raced in the fastwitch 3 (orange) all last year. (Fastwitch 2 the previous year)
The shoe is awesome. One of the most comfortable racers ever. I bought them as racers though the Saucony website did say they were light weight trainers? I believe the Grid Type A are the racers?

I thought it was the Minuzo's that had that wood medial post.
I wear the Kilkenny xc flats. I do all running (training and racing) in them. I wear them because they're flexible. I really like them. As far as other Saucony shoes go, I've never had any luck with any of them.
I have been very pleased with my Rides that I got this past summer. They fit well and were a good alternative to the Asics Landreths that I have been wearing (currently in my third or fourth pair)

I also do all training and road racing in the kilkenny xc flats. I used to wear the nike waffles but the slight model change during 2006 really rubbed my arches raw.
I ran in the Grid Type A, probably one of the best shoes I have run in.
I'm considering trying out the Grid Type A2 flats and the Grid Sinister- anyone have any opinions on these?
I have wear tested Fastwitch 3 and A3's. I found the Fastwitch 3's great for moderate and uptempo runs. A shoe with a great middle ground between a trainer and race flat. The A3's are great for workouts and road races. Both very comfortable and lightweight. I have never worn earlier versions of either shoe but the new models coming out are great!
I don't wear them, but I own a running store and they sell VERY well. The guide and omni especially, as well as the ride.
Can we talk about how crazy hard this Olympic marathon course is?
