So I won a small local 10K earlier in the year and the prize was a $200 gift card to a local running store. I thought that was quite generous. I initially got some gel packs and some Penguin wash and still have $180 left. They called me today and are asking (making) me spend the balance of the gift card before the end of the year. Problem is, though, that everything in the store is horribly over priced. I know, I know, it's not costing me anything out of my pocket and it would be helping out a small independently owned business, but for some reason I can't justify paying full price for a $100 pair of shoes that would cost $80 elsewhere. And to add to the equation, I get a discount with Brooks, so that same pair of $100 shoes would only cost me $60. So, any (intelligent) suggestions as to what to get?
