That's the perfect answer!!
Things have been tight around here because of job troubles, someone sent me a crisp fifty dollar bill with no return address, I think it was someone in my ward.
My wife started crying and said after my new job starts in January she wants to do the same for someone else. It wasn't a huge amount but it was a nice gesture that brought a smile and a few tears.
When I was 10 I got the adult T-Rex from the Jurassic Park action figure set. It was really hard to get because of the demand at the time and it roared when you squeezed it's back legs. I was on cloud nine.

Oh man, I was going to say the exact same thing. I f***ing loved that dinosaur!
Holy shit, my brother and I had that dinosaur...
Our T-rex had a piece of flesh that could be pulled off to look like he was bitten. We'd always say "let's rip out his meat and feed it to the raptors"
Seriously though favorite ever was Pokemon Red... and my clear game boy pocket
Pretty cool story. It is nice to hear about the good things in life every once in a while. Too many good things are over seen.
I don't know if it was the best ever, but my wife took my college diploma and cpa certificate and had them framed this Christmas for me to hang in my office.
I'm not sure who said, "It's the thought that counts," and she definitely put a lot of thought into that. Plus, she had to go searching all over the house to find my diploma.
When i was a kid i got a Super Nintendo for Christmas. It was a big deal for me because my mom is a single parent and we didn't have a lot of money. Actually I still have it, though it is sitting in a box somewhere.
Each Christmas I would get a pack of smokes and an ass beating from my old man. He said it would toughen me up.
I miss that guy. He's up for parole in a few years. I hope he doesn't get out, but I still miss him anyway.
when I was in college, my 29 year old big bro took me to the Mustang Ranch. (in Nevada). I recognized one of the women from a class I was in, at UNLV! (no, I didn't select her, would have seemed too weird).
my uncle dropped two bombs on us this year. the first: he had pancreatic cancer that couldn't be operated on. the second: he was giving me his ferrari f355. i would much rather have my uncle for a few more years though.
