I'm looking for a light, flexible, stability shoe; but with more cushioning then the DS Trainer. Something under 11oz in weight. Any ideas?

try the Nike zoom elite, or the Brooks ghost(neutral shoe).
Looks like the Nike Zoom Elite is being phased out. What will replace it? Any other ideas?
lunar trainer?
That's a neutral shoe. Need a little stability
Try the Saucony Grid Tangent.

Does that have more cushioning than the DS Trainer?
Mizuno Wave Elixir 3
All these suggestions appear to have about the same amount of cushioning as the DS Trainer. Am I wrong?
That's because anything with more cushioning than the DS Trainer, NB 903, Mizuno Elixir, Brooks Axiom 3, Nike Zoom Elite 4, Saucony Tangent 3, Adidas Adizero Mana will be OVER 11 oz. and fall under the cushioned stability category instead of the performance cushion category.
For the OP, you're either going to have to go with something like the Asics 2130 and settle for something heavier or deal with running in shoes with less cusioning.
This is crazy, because I just had to go with a different shoe than the ds trainer 13's (ran out of them at the local shoe shop) and went with the nike vomeros (2 to be exact). They are flexible, light (for the most part, I hate training in anything over 10 oz. and these are about 11 but feel as light as the ds trainer), and cooshy.
For now, I like them even better than the ds trainer 13's and those were great shoes.
Interesting thread. I just bought some DS-Trainers after years of training in flats. The DS's feel over-cushioned to me. I tried the Mizuno Wave Rider last year but dumped them after they fell apart quickly - and went back to a flat.
If your looking for more cushioning with the support of the ds trainer try to 903 by new balance. The tangent by saucony is a light weight performance show so it will hurt you. If your are in the 13 try the ds 14 that just came out. Its not a bad shoe, they added more gel so it feels better however its a combination of the 12 and 13. The 903 you can feel the foam throughout the whole stride even though it is under 10 oz. I would say thats the best bet.
903..um
I might check those out. the DS trainer 13 lacks a little cushion for me also.
Nike Elite. Mizuno Elixer. I run in all three.

Sorry to differ with the expert, but New Balance lists the 903 as a performance shoe, weighing in at a mere 9.3 ounces. Sounds like it could be a good choice.
So does the NB 903 have more cushioning than the DS Trainer?

I wouldn't think so, it's lighter than the DS Trainer.

Lighter midsole foam enables it to have good cushioning while still reducing weight.
Actually, I mistyped. I meant performance stability, not performance cushion.
