Are the wave shoes not the best running shoes of today? whether it's the alchemy, inspire, elixir, ronin, wave rider, nirvana, does any other shoe keep you as healthy or is as light as a mizuno?

It really depends on the person. People with really flat or really wide feet- no. People who like a really soft cushioned shoe- no.
People with thinner feet or higher arches who like a stiffer and more responsive ride generally seem to like them.
I've been running in Wave Precisions steadily for 4 or 5 years and love them. I have narrow feet, higher arches, and wear orthotics. They fit perfectly and are light enough to make me feel fast. Most other shoes are heavy as is, let alone combined with orthotics.
Personally, I think Mizuno has one of the best lines from top to bottom. We just got the new Rider and Inspire in, and this Rider is probably the nicest to date. Feels a little lighter and more responsive than previous versions, and has the fit of the one a few years ago. I'm looking forward to seeing how this new line-up does over the next year.
worst running shoe i've worn in a decade. but i do like walking in them. to me, they lack the forefoot cushioning i like.
I have the ultralighweight Mizuno Wave Universe and it's the best shoe i've ever had.It might be to minimal for most runners but i use it for all my runs and they hold up high mileage longer than any flats i had so far.
But again the shoe is probably to minimal for most runners, i regular do plyometrics barefeet and have been using flats even for easy runs for the last 5-6 years.
I have run in the wave rider for the past 6 years. Been through well over a dozen of them. I have flat feet, but run very neutral and have had no problems with them what-so-ever. Usually get 80-ish miles a week with some in the 110-120 range and the shoes hold up very well. The perfect amount of cushioning and response.
I've been using some sort of Mizuno for the last 8 years and have suffered almost no overuse injuries. I have a neutral pronation, a narrow foot, and a medium arch. I used to run in the Precisions, with some use of the Rider when the mileage got over 100 for the week and rocky mountain trails were used.
Unfortunately my favorite shoe to train in for the last few years, Wave Aero, has been discontinued, without a true replacement for it. The Aero seemed to fall between a light trainer and a flat. The Ronin is over two ounces lighter than the Aero and doesn't seem as substantial. It seems like Mizuno has slightly lightened the weight of the Precision, but the height of the heel has me concerned.
Has anyone gone from the Aero to the Ronin? I have almost 600 miles on my last pair of Aero and need something new.
I have ran in the Wave Riders for the last five years or so, great training shoe.
For my tempo work and road races, I use the Wave Ronins.
Great shoes.
