The 345,000 shillings translates to only $4,600?
Come on boys, let's stop crying about the weather and all that petty stuff that gets on this board.
If you are meeting your group (teams) to run - possibly take on this project and let's get some funds sent to the Kiplagat family for this girl. This is not that much money.
I know there are many sad stories and lots of good charities, but wouldn't it be awesome if this message board initiated the largest contributions to this cause - and all for another fellow runner.....
I'm in.
Thank you 16x for the words of encouragement to everyone. Well said, considering everything I've been reading on these boards lately.
Flagpole, Third Choice, Vote Republicam Runnerbabe, osurunner, Red Dragon, Bautista, malmo, Hodge, JEH, Miles and Miles, waz, yupper, scooby, Old Man By The Sea, Evil, shut-up.......
I'm calling you out on this one.....
Those of you who know the "Hottest Babes in the NCAA" could commit a few of them to offer up a kiss or autographed photo of themselves for a contribution of $10 or more for this cause!
LET'S DO THIS FOR THIS GUY! who knows some hot runner babes? I promise to dance for any of you at the next road race we meet at - and maybe even show you those "Real and Spectacular" things I own. maybe not.
I'm in for $100. Hudzik, you know where to find me.

lets put this link/message on all the other threads regardless of relevence to get more people to see it
Richard is a really nice guy and this is a great cause. I assume that is the proper mailing address for checks? Any other way we can facilitate this process?
Thanks
I'm putting up $100 in mplatt's name.
Mike you know where to find me.
Thank you all who wish to help. Richard and I are grateful for any donations. I set up an account at Wachovia Bank. The account is in Richard's sister?s name: Agnes Kiplagat, and I am the executor of the account. Anybody can deposit money into the account at any Wachovia Bank; you just need the account number. 1010083724826. Again thank you for your help. -Tyler Cardinal

16x...I'm not sure what you are "calling (me) out" about?
Bump to the top of the screen. Looks like we're making some progress here. Keep chiming in.

maybe poor choice of words, I'm calling for your help- because you are the "King" of this message board, and others will follow. Hail. Peace.
I'm in for $500.
Tyler, I work for Wachovia... At what branch is the account located? Maybe we can drum up some publicity.
You might think about using the following
fundraising link. I don't know how much
(if anything) it costs, but it would be
easy to collect this way and people could
use their charge cards.
Good luck, let us know if you are doing this
or whether the direct check deposit is the
best way.
Man I am so glad that this is up. I read the article and was going to post something today about a possible way to have people donate. I don't know Richard personally, but I know Tyler and other Iona guys, and everyone speaks so highly of Richard. I'm seriously donating money I would have spent on X-Mas crap for this. Wish we could all do more.
bump
It's not much, but I sent $10. I'm just a hs student.
C'mon everyone, we can get them this much and more.
Rojo, Wejo, you should put this article on the front page!
I'll make a donation as well. Giving is what the holidays are all about!
