Hey everyone. I am trying to figure out which three shoes I should buy from Eastbays' amazing 3 for$99.99 sale.
I live in Canada, and will be doing my first track season in the spring ( three meets at most). I am training to run a sub35 10km in march, but I am not sure what distances I would be racing on track. I will also be doing cross country in the fall.
I have a pair of Fortitude IIIs that I train in all the time, and just got some Mizuno WaveRiders from ValueVillage for like 6 bucks. They will be my beater shoes for w/e.
I have a pair of (size 10) Asics Ohana's in the mail, these will be my first flats and will be my road racers.
As for the three to buy:
1)I will be getting Asics Gel-Trail Attack IV WR for all my winter runs. It gets slick!
2) A track shoe. This is hard to call obviously because I have never run in spikes, or know the distance(s) I will be running. I would think the 800m+, although I am quick on 200 and 400 as well (in comparison with my team-mates). I am thinking either the Nike Zoom Miler or the Nike Zoom Montreal (Shift FD). We have an indoor track(200m) and outdoor track, both rubber. I also have a dirt track close to my house, but I rarely use it (due to the high school using it).
3)An XC shoe. Since I dont know the surfaces of the races, it will most likely be the Nike Zoom Forever (note:the waffle version, not the XC spiked version). However, would it be redundant to get the Zoom Montreal's if I got these? I will maybe do three races tops in the fall.
I am 20, running since July, 6'0", ~170lbs. Thanks in advance
