yes. it was awesome. they only fell apart long after i would have normally had to have gotten another pair. a lot of that has to do with other factors like weight and how you stride though.also, what kind of trail surface would probably have an affect. drainage? they drained ok? i guess? i was wearing some older version of it though, not the XIIIs or whatever is out now.
I use my DS trainers for everything; they do just fine on trails, grass, tracks, etc. No need to buy another pair of special trail shoes if you're doing fine in the DS's.
I've used them on trails before and was happy. They drain as well as any other road shoe (okay, a bit better) and held up very well (pretty stiff upper). I wouldn't take them through any creeks though, or muddy trails if you need a lot of grip.
