Don't you have to be 14 and up to post here?
YOU SUCK AT RUNNING.
0/10
Umm. I don't know. Why don't you ask the coach? I'm pretty sure he would know.
Ha, you wish.
5:40?!
I can run that times 30 without breaking a sweat.
Quit running. NOW
You need to run times that are faster than the other kids trying out for the team. If you do that, I guaranty that you will make the team.

but what times will they run?
can I get a full ride?
what is a full ride?
Thats for colleges. not HS
no, i'm black.
HEY! that wasn't me. good try though.
Why do I need to compete for your local team? I'm flattered, but I'm really not interested.
poor trolling attempt.
Just in case this is a serious question....
I would say a 5:42 in middle school is good enough to be one of the top FRESHMAN on the team. No where near varsity, but you'll compete with other freshman just fine. I think I could only run 6:00 in middle school and in my freshman year in track I could run 5:00 and was the second fastest freshman on the team.
If you really want to run more competitively in HS than you still have a year of training left before you start your freshman year. Just get out there and run consistantly over the next 9 months and by the time cross country starts you'll be one of the top freshman.
