9 x 300m,1k, 9 x 300m with 40seconds recovery. I was wondering if the above workout is good as part of base training for an 800/Mile Runner?
Ran 49s + 50s plus 2:55 k. What sort of times do these predict also?
Thanks

Nope, terrible workout. Accomplished a bunch of nothing.
The 300's done are not fast enough to build speed/economy and not long enough build aerobic power. The middle 1k is only thing you might get out of it and it is just 1 cruise interval.
Rethink what you are try to accomplish and do workout that accomplish that objective. Not sure this workout does that.
Seems like a tough workout if done right. I'd say if your 1k was 2:55 the 300's should have been a tad faster. It's really hard to say what good this workout did though without knowing your PR's and goals. If your PR is 4:30ish, that's a pretty damn good workout. If your PR is closer to 4:10, the 300's should be faster.
Either way, I'd say it's a very solid workout for this time of year.
