So I signed up to run a 10k about 2 or 3 months ago, thinking I had plenty of time to get back in shape. I trained for a month and a half solid and improved a whole lot. Ran 6 miles in 48 minutes one day (I know that sucks, but I ain't claiming to be good) and was generally able to bust out a 4 or 5 miler with ease. But then I got sick and was out for 2 and a half weeks. i was thinking I wouldn't lose that much, but I went for a run yesterday and it was hell. Today's was even worse. And both were 3 milers at a slow pace. So my question is, in the 9 days I have left, how should I focus my running? Should I run every day? 6 of the 9? Do all long easy runs? Stick with 3 milers? You get the idea. Help an out of shape fatass out. Word!
