I am running the Richmond marathon on 11/15. How fast can I run it?
Ran a 1:27 half marathon 1.5 weeks ago off of 45-55 mpw. Each training week included an interval run of 4-6 miles at 6:05 to 6:10 pace and a 7 to 10 mile tempo at 6:30 to 6:45. Did three long runs of 16 miles and one of 18.
Marathon is 2.5 weeks from now. Last weekend I did a 20 miler at 8:00 pace and plan to do a 16 miler this weekend. Have continued intervals and tempos at roughly the same pace/distance as before. Mileage for the four weeks between races will look something like 55, 50, 45, 25.
Have run 5 marathons with the two most recent (past 2 years) hovering around 3:20, which is my PR.
