I've been injured on and off for about a year now, so I've been hanging out with local triathlon clubs in two different cities (I moved) so I have some company while swimming and biking.
I've noticed a few things:
-They are much more down to earth than runners
-They don't worry so much about training and nutrtion, they just go out there and do it. Hard work, day in and day out
-They aren't into looking the part. No snazzy $140 running shoes. They don't make fun of each other for not running in running clothes
I know there is lots of anti-triathlete sentiment on these boards, but in all I'd say they are a better crowd to hang around.
Thoughts?
