I'm no all-american, but I'm a guy that tries to train consistently. My PR's are 9:56/4:45/2:09. I have been addicted to my stop watch. The other day at practice our coach tells us that we are going to run a mile all out and no watches are allowed and no one can call out times from the side.
I didn't think that my training was going very good, and I definitely didn't think that I was in mile shape, but I came across in 4:43 (on a rubber track).
I'm not here to say that my time because for one thing I got beat by a few guys on my team, but just about everybody on my team PR'd as well. Taking off the watch did something for us, but I'm not really sure what. Does anybody have any answers?
