I want to get a new running shoes.
I'm swinging between ASICS and adidas.
A friend of mine,he is a hard runner,
recomend ASICS is the best.
But adidas is more stylish, I think.
What do you think about ASICS?

2120's and 2130's are my life.

Ditto. I used to be a pegasus man, then as susal, Nike changed a good thing. I'm an Asics man forever now.
Was that a Haiku, OP?
Go and try a few on of each make and see which fits and feels the best. There's probably good and bad asics (and adidas) for your foot, it depends on the model.
Asics' high-end shoes, the ones you see available in Japan, are much, much, much better than Adidas' comparable models, but at the trainer level it's more equitable. The Adizero series overall is quite good.
I've worn the ASICs 2000 series since the 2010's. Every pair except the 2030's almost 10 years ago have been great. Once you find what works for you, all you can hope for is that they don't change it too much between model years.
Asics has better trainers.
Once you start getting into racing, Adidas racing flats are just as good as Asics.

I believe if you look at Asics' top-end line you will find that the Sortie Magic, Tarther series, etc. are far superior to the Adizero PR or Pro, particularly when comparing each company's custom-made models.
Adidas is still lagging behind Asics, but is beginning to catch up. The Supernova series (Cushion/Sequence) are good but still not as good as the 2100 series or the Cumulus/Landreth.
Asics shoes are very popular and are a big sell for most specialty stores.
check out this website, it offers a great price on most asics shoes - neutral shoes: nimbus and cumulus and stability shoes: 2140 series and kayano.
How different are the 2130s vs 1130s?
Also what is up with the sizing?
I went into Sports Authority to pick up some cheap shoes to try. I normally wear NB 7 or 7.5.
Well Sports Authority rarely has 7s so I went to the boyz section and the 6.5s 1130s fit me. WTF?
Stylish? Forget stylish if you are serious about running.
ASICS makes mostly running shoes. They are one of many good brands.
You need to go to a reputable running store and get fitted properly. Buy your first pair from them to pay for that service. It's worth it. After you establish a shoe you like buy on line or whatever.
You need to know if you have flat or high arches and how much stability you need in a shoe. Toe box size, whether your heel is prone to slipping and overall feel is important. A good store will have many brands and many types within each brand and will let you run outside in them to try them.
I always found the 21XX series to have a large toe box, not good for me, and most Kayonos fit better for my narrow fit. Some think you up size a half size on Asics but i found them to fit true to size, while I have to go up half a size in Nike's. Which means I can't use Nike's as there is no 14 1/2.
My trainers and flats are Asics, and I've been wearing what is now the 1130 (although there may be a newer number) since it was the 1080 and have had no problems with the line. Much cheaper than the shoes with names and not numbers too.
But before jumping into a brand, try both Asics and adidas, and whatever else, one on each foot to see how they feel to you. Good stores will let you do that and go out on the sidewalk with them.
