Chelanga will not win.
True, he has run a great time, but though many of you on Letsrun hate to admit it, he's up against a guy who took 13th in the WORLD this August.
Keep in mind Rupp was not far off of what Chelanga ran this year. And he is in better shape as well, running barely off his PR in the bad conditions in Beijing.
Though we haven't seen Rupp run yet, he is the main contender and is still the one to beat. I don't like or dislike Rupp and I speak from a completely neutral viewpoint, just stating the facts here.
Chelanga has run excellently, but I do not think he will beat Rupp.
But we'll see in a month or so.
