See thread title. Do they? Or do you need some wind brief type things (or even just a second layer, i.e. normal briefs)?

i actually do that and it works really well
I thought the junk was supposed to stay cool? Warm/hot=death to the little swimmers?
For most guys, the more dead little swimmers the better.
Need an extra layer especially if there's a wind chill factor involved.

Oh shit! I won't be able to impregnate a woman if my balls get cold? I need to avoid that at all costs, because I sure as shit want to have my "little swimmers" create a pain in the ass child for me. The last thing I want is to not be able to have a kid!

They keep your junk warm, sure. But you're going to freeze your kneecaps off.

20 degrees, regular brief, 10 degrees, wind brief/sock/etc. you dont want a chilly willy.
which half tights are the warmest?
Just put a few dabs of Icy Hot or Ben Gay on, em. That's what Alberto does before cold runs.
You will no doubt experience shrinkage, which is the body's defense mechanism to protect your precious boys. So don't worry, your junk will be fine.
on a second note, why call a penis "junk"??
theres no junk involved here.

i wasn't referring to a penis.
what were you referring to then? a vagina?
it seems as though many of the posters on this thread must not have experienced running in truly cold weather with running shorts or half tights on, because it is not just about the "little swimmers" surviving. it gets so cold down there that when everything thaws out you are in severe pain for about an hour. wear briefs or a sock at least.
i have ran in severly cold weather several times, and the only thing that gets cold and/or hurts in the very tip of it.
Are you asking about this for racing or training? If it is training, put on some running pants or full length tights for crying out loud. I might still wear long tights in a race if it was that cold.
If there is wind you will pay dearly at 10f with only half tights on. Some people make a duct tap patch to stick on the outside of their clothing in the concerned area. Honestly, take this seriously, the thaw cycle can be terrible and long lasting. I do not recommend SportHill wind briefs. I have heard good things about Asics, Craft and The Hand.
