She ran 17:02 on Woodward park her freshman year. I think this was at the Clovis Invitational, she ran a slower time at the state meet. At last year's state meet, she ran a 17:05 in Division 5. Christine Babcock ran 17:04 in Division 2, for the fastest time of the day.
Her times at Mt. Sac (around 16:40, correct me if I'm wrong) show that she is capable of running sub 17 on a course like Woodward park.
Anyone think she can get Chock's 5k record? I believe that was around 15:52 or so, 12.5 laps on the track. Last year she ran the 1500 at the Cardinal invitational in Stanford, if she went for the 5k record there she could get some great competition. Could she break 15:52?
Her 4:14.50 also converts faster than the actual mile record (around 4:35). As for her 3200 9:52, 4 seconds off of the #1 time (her's is the #2 all time), this was run at the end of May.. she clearly was peaking for early July, at the Trials.
Who knows, by the end of this track season, she could have the 5k and 3200 records under her belt.. not to mention "officially" getting the mile record (not converted from a 1500).
What do you all think?
