Has anyone trained in the New Balance 800? I tried them out briefly but I wasn't sure how they would fare after a few hundred miles. I am a midfoot/forefoot striker but they seemed rather wide and spongy. I'm just not sure if it is worth the $120.

NB are like bricks. The transtion from heel to toe blows.
Awesome shoe. They feel weird the first few runs, but they are light, flexible and great for midfoot strikers. Take the plunge.
