Title says it all. I had some mayfly's but they are at the end of their lifetime... maybe a bit past it, so I need a new pair. Any suggestions?

They still make the mayfly if you want it. The new lunar racer from Nike is good for the longer distances but I don't know if I'd like it for a 5k. Brooks T5 is always good and maybe the best all around flat out there. If you can hold out the T6 will debut in April and looks sweet.
I have the ST3 (see http://www.brooksrunning.com/prod.php?p=1000081D ). It's a great shoe. Not the lightest but very comfortable and with better support than many flats. Buy based on what feels good for you not 'sweet' looks.
