Here is my question there is a 5K night road race 11 days out from the marathon I plan to run. Would it be smart and a good workout to run that 5k race and follow it with easy 70minutes then do a 15mile long run on the sunday or should I stick to some other type of workout that would give more benefit for the marathon. Just curious, plan to do the workout and skip the 5K but on the other hand it is a solid 5k with a few guys running under 15 so I would also like to let one go and see what I can do.
Training: 100mile weeks, 1:08 Half during prep if that helps with deciding on what to do.
