It appears that Adidas has scuttled the Adizero RC and Pro,
but kept the LT.
Is there any chance Adidas will reconsider and/or market a
flat in the 6.4 ounce range like the Adizero Pro and RC?

The Pro is definately still about and will be continued for a while yet. Theres new colors being tested at the moment so hopefully will be released in the next season (they look sweet). They also have other shoes in the Adizero range coming out, I think one is called the Adios. Its slightly bigger and more cushiony than the pro or RC but looks to be a good shoe. Theres also the Cadence, a racing flat/spike hybrid that they have produced for Haile.
What is the status of the Supernova Cushion? RRS says it is discontinued. Have been in this shoe for the last 7-8 years, hopefully not going away...
the cushion will be given a new name in the Glide, the adistar cushion is the Ride and the adistar control becomes the salvation.
as for flats the RC has gone away and is replaced by the Ace.
Rest easy "Typical". Your shoes will still be around.
i miss the ratsracer
The RC is replaced by the Ace? How similar are the two shoes? The RC was a dream shoe.
Kicking myself for not buying a couple of the cool looking white RCs with blue soles a few months ago when they were plentiful. Now all that's left are the hideous-looking black ones.

I found some black ones on the net a couple
of days ago. They were 8 ounces. Not 6.4
ounces.
I've got 4 pairs of the White RC's with the
black stripes and red trim. All are very
close to 500 miles which is about my limit.
Also have 2 pairs of Pros which seemed a lot
like the RC's to me.
I cannot determine why Adidas is discontinuing
those shoes, since they are sold out in many
sizes. Maybe they made very little profit and
Adidas has been planning this for a while.
Hi Bob,
Where did you find them. Do you suppose they have an size 10.5? I'll certainly buy some if they do.
I have a pair of the pros and while I think they are great, they do not have nearly the cushioning of the RCs. I can use the RCs in a marathon with no problems.
I found the 8 ouncers two days ago by
google search. I just did the same
thing and the order is radically
different.
Running Warehouse and Eastbay both
have RC's, 6.9 ounce, in stock in
several sizes as of 4PM EDT, 9/12/08.
Naperville Running Company in Illinois gets shipments of those every month.
Oh wait I see you were talking about the black ones. Sorry, missed that earlier. I hate black shoes. Think they are hideous.
They had some that were mostly white upper with a little bit of black and blue outsoles a few months ago but those are gone. Those were what I was looking for.
Thanks anyway.
Hawk- Creative names for the new shoes.
I've found that I can get 500 miles out of the RC, but only 200 out of the Pro before the outsole is trashed. Disappointing.
