OP, you have it all backwards. Start by writing down the workouts you want to do. Then fill in as much running as you think you can handle on the other days. Then add it all up and see if it comes to a reasonable mileage total. Don't use a number as your starting point.
TT, I like the balance. Is there any reason you do the long run on Sat instead of the more traditional Sunday? Thanks.
This is all wrong. Lydriad said you need to do 3 long runs a week so it should beSunday 25Wednesday 25Friday 25Runs under 2 hours just don't promote fitness the same way as long runs do. There is some rat study out there that proves it.If you want to do some jogging that is ok but only a pussy adds that to their weekly mileage.
