I've been doing your mom on tuesday, your sister on thursday and base runs the rest of the week.
I have just bumped my summer mileage from 70 to 100 with one hard 10 miler and 10 x a hill by my house workout, about 800m, per week. running an easy 6 in the morning to get my mileage up. I want my senior year to be my best. Have an outside chance at all american (top 25) at Nationals d2. Going for it.
mon: 60 minutes easy/moderate, weights & core
tue: 3 x 2 mile @ 10k race effort(5:00 min. miles) w/ 400m jog
wed: 45 minutes easy/moderate, 6-8 x 100m strides
thur: 40 minute progressive run(6:30->5:45 pace), weights & core
fri: 12 x 200m hills(~25% grade) @ 1500m-3k race effort w/ jog down recovery
sat: 60 minutes easy/moderate, 6-8 x 100m strides
sun: 1:45-2:00 hours: 2 miles @ warm up, 3 miles @ moderate comfortable pace, 4 miles @ up-tempo pace, 3 miles @ moderate pace, 1 mile cool down
~ 70-75 miles/week total, sometimes we do easy morning runs when we feel like it, no more than a few times a week if the coach says it is okay or recommended, and depending on how we're feeling
1:45-2:00 hours for a 13mile run? That might be incorrect.
