Is the accuracy better with the 405? I am going to get one to help with marathon training and I don't care about the size, I just want it to be close to accurate. thanks

my 205 is pretty darn accurate.
Save your self some money and go with the 205. It is little more user friendly when you are using it during the run and the new one is not any more accurate for distance in my experience.

Because size doesn't matter!
Should be pretty close in accuracy, the 405 may find satellites a bit faster... The limiting factors are really the satellites themselves, gov't ones send back slightly skewed data, but more and more private ones are going up = better accuracy.
Also if you're running a lot in the mountains or in areas with high buildings your accuracy will go down no matter what you're using.
all the forerunners ending in "05" use the exact same technology. the only difference is the size of the package and the features. the selling point of the 405 is that it's small and looks more like a normal watch.

heh, heh, you said size of the package. heh, hehe
I've had them all (201, 205 & 405).
205 is much better than 201. 405 is about the same as the 205 as far as function and accuracy go, but the form factor is a huge improvement (looks like a thick watch).
Also, note that "current pace" is useless due to the GPS technology. Lap pace is what you want to see, you can set your laps for any distance you choose.
I have the 305, and it seems to give more accurate and consistent readings than my previous 205. (It might have been a 201. Is there any difference between them, other than the HR monitor?)
