I have been doing some reading and from what I can find and what people seem to say on this board is that Cyclists have some of the highest VO2 Max levels. Is this because they're training for much longer periods of time? Does consistent work not "harder" work lead to higher rates?
I was a pretty good runner and a pretty good biker, after one summer of serious biking (not much running) I believe I was in the best shape I'd ever been in. I was thinner and my endurance was unmatched (speed wasn't there though).
Thoughts?
