Races are usually on Saturday.
If I do my long run on Sunday, I do not like to do my first quality workout on the following Monday.
So if I move Q1 to Tuesday, should I do my Q2(usually a tempo run) on Wednesday or Thursday?
I guess it would look like this:
M-E
T-Q1
W-E
Th-Q2
F-E
S-Race
S-long run
The only thing I do not like about this is the fact that I get only 1 day rest before the race.
I would do Q1 on Tuesday and Q2 on Wednesday, but my tempo run will be a lot harder than it needs to be.
Any suggestions?
I guess the important question to ask myself is how important is the race?
I could just use it as a workout especially for the next 2-3 months.
