I'm in 8th grade and I would like to have a chance and winning some races this spring. I've been running xc for a high school so I hope that helps. Any training tips for those events?

listen to your coach, stretch, eat right
simple got it right but i would add be consistant in getting the miles in and be consistant in running (meaning running everyday)
alright thanks guys, but do you have any workouts in particular that would help out?
What high schools let 8th graders run XC on their teams?

During the summer. run 4-8 miles day, 5-7 days a week. Do strides twice a week after the run. On one of the days run hard for 20 mins. Hard is where you can still carry a conversation but you feel like your working. That will give a really good base for XC and track season. You could mix in some hill repeats every other week if you want a break from continous running.
alright thats the kind of stuff i was needing to hear, haha.
