So I plan on running 23 miles this weekend as part of a "challenge".
My last three long runs of 15, 16, 16 have all been ran at 7:12 pace. Usually I have been starting off at near 7 flat pace then slowing to a 7:30 by the end. So what I'm wondering is what kind of pace should I be trying to shoot for these 23 miles, and how fast should I go out? My normal Easy pace runs are around 7:20.
I'm not looking to hit a target time, but to just merely "survive" the run. But I also feel like if I go out too slow, like 8:00, that will hurt my rhythm since I'm deliberately running much slower than I normally run.
