Has any runners using the Axiom 2 tried the Axiom 3? How does it compare? Will it last longer (I love the axiom 2, however I find that they wear out around 250-300mi) with the new MoGo sole?
Thanks!

And if they're good, does anyone know of somewhere they're stocked in MD? (Other than Holabird Sports)
I just received a pair from Holabird. Good price, reasonable shipping (along with some Saucony Tangent 3s), and on my porch in four days.
I would purchase from Holabird, but I'd like to try them on before I buy (to see how they compare to the Axiom two) and ideally I'd be getting them today (I have a pair of Axiom 2's on the way, but shipping took longer than expected and I'd rather break in a new pair today and have new shoes for my long run tomorrow than wear my old broken down Axioms).
Oh, I see. Well, as far as fit, I got the same size in all Axiom models, even from the original. As for durability, I just go 500 on all my shoes, although I should probably differentiate.

"Have"
Hah. Thanks. I must have been planning on typing "has anyone...".
Whoops.
Not bad. 8 posts in and no one has responded with an actual answer to the OP.
Well done again LetsRun!!!!

Haha. I suppose the A3 is relatively new.
Yeah, brilliant to ask about the durability of a shoe that just hit the shelves.
Actually, I'm trying to find out about the durability that one could expect from it now that the shoe has MoGo. I know nothing about MoGo. I'm assuming it's supposed to increase durability, but I'm not sure. That's why I asked. Obviously no one has run these shoes into the ground outside of Brooks labs.
Also, how far does everyone run in their current Axiom 2's?
300 has been my magic number
Ok. That sounds about right. I've ran up to 390 in any given pair (a mistake), but my current pair are at 294 and my joints are hurting a lot. From looking around it seems like most people think 300 is a good switchover point.
I have about 30 miles on my new Brooks Axiom 3 and here are my takes:
1) Sizing is consistent with Axiom 2
2) Love the new lacing system in the upper of Axiom 3
3) Axiom 3 feels lighter than Axiom 2, fits snugger
4) Tongue is much shorter on Axiom 3 than Axiom 2
5) Mileage will be a good question, I am hoping that they continue to feel great as I approach 300 miles
6) I got a cool red/grey mesh colorway
Great lightweight support trainer...
I know Brooks was having some problems manufacturing them and had to delay the launch. They should be stocked by now at all the specialty stores in Maryland (Charm City Run, Falls Road, Fleet Feet).

Great, that's exactly what I was looking for. Great review! Thanks
I have had 5 pair of the Axiom 2 and my mileage ranges from 800-1100 per pair. These are the most durable shoes I have ever run in. The only reason I change them out at that time is because my team orders shoes every 10 weeks, so thats when I get new ones.
Falls Road is pretty far away from me so I usually don't bother with them. Never heard of Charm City- I'll check that out. Fleet Feet is the closest to me - about ten mins away, but when I called them they said they didn't have the Axiom 3 yet.
Georgetown Running Company and Pacers in MD also don't have them (the Pacer's stores in no. VA do though).
Thanks for the info
This is definitely a funny shoe -- right out of the box they feel like they're not going to hold up, but I've actually gotten more mileage out of my Axiom 2s than any other trainer I've owned (typically get low 300s, but got 375 out of last pair of the 2s). Just bought another pair, and look forward to the 3s...
