Anyone know of Running Specialty stores in Milwaukee?
Anyone know of Running Specialty stores in Milwaukee?
No one???
This further proves my point that no one should live in this crap hole city...
I like Milwaukee, actually. You just need to know where to look to have a good time. But, the fact you can't use google to answer your question is stunning. Here, I'll do it for you.
See, that right there is called a "search engine". What this "search engine" does is find key terms that you specify. So, if you look at what I put in, "Specialty running stores milwaukee wi", you'll see that that google searches the "Internet" to find those terms. Lo and behold, you have your response. Apparently, by your mere presence, you're making the whole city of Milwaukee dumber. So, my advice to you would be to use a "search engine" to find a city more suitable to your needs.
I can Google--which I did. I was looking for more personal preference.
That was completely over your head.
FYI--Been all over the US. Job moved me here. I cannot wait to get out of this place.
Shit weather. HUGE females. And the only thing worth a damn is Summerfest (which, really isn't all that great.)
Thanks though.
Actually, the summer has been almost uniformly beautiful so far.
Wow - a posting at 9:39 and a furious follow-up when no one has answered in 30 minutes. Signs of our impatient times, I guess (and some of us in this fair city have to work, also). Although I almost hate to help out, given the attitude, I do recommend Rodiez's and Performance Running Outfitters in Brookfield (www.performancerunning.com).
Have a wonderful stay in one of the most friendly, under rated city in America! Good luck in your move elsewhere (which will help keep our reputation as warm and friendly).

completely over my head? You said "anyone know of specialty running stores in Milwaukee". Nowhere in that question are you asking for personal experience. You're asking for specialty running stores, which a Google search will give you. Now if you had framed your question as such, "Anyone have a good experience with any running stores in Milwaukee?" then I could have answered your question. Fortunately, you're a complete douchebag, so I don't need to.
1. Just go to Rodiez, 108th and Lincoln.
2. Get over yourself. I've lived all over the world, and Milwaukee is a nice city.
Nice city?
11 shot in same night about 2 months ago.
Many shot (4 die) in drive by shooting during 4th of July fireworks
Shitty weather, shitty overrated QB, shitty traffic for how small it is.
Milwaukee blows.
Milwaukee has a football team now? Musta missed that in my 20 years here.
It to bad that you do not like Milwaukee! Try running on the Eastside along the lake, through Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. There are plenty of things to do besides summer fest. Go to one of the other ethnic festivals. We have great bike races in most of the neighboring cities. Or perhaps you should just move? You should stop being a pie hole as you are not trying to find the positives!
Now a shoe store. I find that Performance Running is the best shoe store in the area. Ask for Jess or Trae. Rodiez is fine but I think you will get better service at Performance.
If you like to run and want to find the positives look into Badgerland Striders or Wisconsin Runner.
Sorta biased since I work there, but the New Balance stores have some great shoes. Although we only have NB so if you want some variety Id try Performance Running Outfitters both the owners are really nice and their staff is all knowlegeable.
Acutally, milwaukee rocks.
1. you calling us fat...
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2006/fit.nation/interactive/chart.fit.fat.cities/frameset.exclude.html
We're the 5th fittest city in the country.
2. Summerfest... it's all about music, if you don't like the bands they play, you probably won't enjoy it, and since LFO didn't play this year, you probably wouldn't have any fun. The other fests are great, polish fest, irish fest, german fest... but my guess is your favorite is pride fest... go rainbows!!!
3. Are pro baseball team is the Milwaukee Brewers... name another team from another city that has a cooler name than the makers of beer... and they're good... try going to a game on friday night in the beer pen... excellent fun.
4. Specialty running shops.
a. Rodiez's - 108th and lincoln
b. InStep - Milwaukee Ave and Buffallo in the 3rd ward
those are you best two options
4. Weather. Fall running in wisconsin is worth the winter and the spring, if you know where to go.
5. Danger factor - Stay east of 43 when your downtown and you'll never have a problem.
6. chicks, it's the midwest... what are you gonna do.
7. Traffic... c'mon the entire downtown interchange is under freeway, supposed to be done by end of fall a year early and millions under budget... it's bad driving for like 3 total hours a day... otherwise, try driving to downtown chicago and complain about milwaukee...
I've traveled all over for work and I love milwaukee. Buck up man and make the best of it. And if you still down like it... then we can't wait for you to leave either.
