I run in the Precisions as my main training shoe. I've gone through several pair of the Precision 8's (which I like a lot although they've just discontinued them). I just ran in my first pair of Precision 9's (the new model) today. Based on a first run, the older model fits me a little bit better (although maybe I just need to break the news ones in a bit).
As far as mileage, I've never been able to get much more than 400 miles out of the Precisions (they start to feel a little bit dead after 350 - 375). And I'm a mid-foot striker who weighs about 150. I think the Wave-plate in the Precisions is made of a less durable (and softer) rubber compared to the harder plastic in the Rider's, which makes them degrade quicker. That said, I like them a lot and I'll stick with them.
I've never tried the Hayward but typically I find that Nike's are a bit too narrow in the forefoot for me. But maybe I'll check them out for comparison.
