Im vacationing in New York and wanted to run in Central Park. If i ran from my hotel I would have to run through Times Square to get there. Is it physically possible to run through Times Square between the times of 7am-9am?

I measured the men's marathon Trials course and the NYC Half (Presented by Nike - can't forget that) course and we rode through Times Sq. at 1-2 a.m., and I would say it is physically impossible to run through there even at that hour, so forget 7-9.

A jog might be possible, especially toward 7am (and especially on the weekends), but you'd need to go slowly and be ready to stop suddenly. A run through TSq between 8 and 9 on a weekday? Good luck with that.
Regardless of where your hotel is--well, unless it's actually located *in* Times Square--it should be possible to take other streets and avenues to get to CP. Remember that there are many entrances to the Park...
Take the R or Q Train to 57th St, walk up stairs and jog over to CP. Running there on a weekday morning around that time is impossible, esp since GMA and Today are taped nearby, major midwestern crowds with slow walkers
Just one block over, 8th Avenue is navigable at those times. Where is your hotel?
On Sunday they'll be a race running right through it. You can say high to Dathan and Adam as they pass through...

7am on a Saturday Jim? Easy. "The City that never sleeps" certainly does on a Saturday or a Sunday morning.
If you can, jog over to the West Side Highway, there's a path along the river...at 58th St or so, you can cut over and make your way to the park. It might not be the most direct, but you won't have to deal with as much foot-traffic.
i'd advise against ever running through times square unless it's from about 10am to 3pm, and even then it gets nasty since it is always dominated by tourists at all hours of the day. run over to either 8th or 6th aves and you'll be fine. you can even run over to 5th ave but stay off the sidewalk and hug the curb in the bus lane.
