wondering how to start doing doubles without feeling like crap all the time. I do like 3 miles in 24-25mins for my shakeout-like run, and then 8hours later I do a regular a 7min'ish run of 8-10 miles. Is this a good strategy for starters?

if that strategy is tiring you out, put more time between your doubles and your main run. also, try doing your main run first (that's what i do). most importantly, make sure you are easing into these mikegravel100 mile weeks. if you are hitting 75 in singles don't try to hit 100 the first week with doubles. try just two or three doubles a week, that way you hopefully aren't compromising your main run mileage too much but are still getting in the other run.
if this dead-like feeling persists despite your precautions, maybe re-evaluate your choice to add doubles to your regimen. they're not for everyone.
