Lately, the area just below my calf has been bothering me. A couple days ago I spoke with my friends dad (who runs about 60mpw and has had similar problems) and he told me that perhaps alternating shoes would help. He suggested that I wear a different type of shoe than what I wore on my previous run every time I run, because it puts stress on different muscles rather than the same muscles every time. Ironically, his son, who runs but not quite as much, told me yesterday that he's read that alternating shoes is not a good idea. Does anyone know if alternating shoes really does help (or hurt)?
