Looking for some advice...
Took up running seriously a year ago (was a 1:59 800m guy in high school, now I\'m 26), and was averaging 40-50 miles a week during the winter until I was diagnosed with piriformis syndrome and had to take about 3 weeks off with some rehab. Gradually got back into it in April, and I\'ve been averaging 30-35 miles a week now. Memorial weekend I ran a 5k in 16:58, took a weekend off from racing then the following weekend went 35:50 in a 10k, then 16:46 5k the next week, and a 16:24 last weekend. So I\'ve raced 4 out of the last 5 weekends.
My question is, tomorrow I can race a 5 mile run or should I take a weekend off from racing and get a solid workout in. Also, I\'m already pre-registered for a road race next weekend. So race tomorrow or take a wkd off from racing and watch the Oly. Trials late this eveing?
