I think you can too. I did pilates once and improved my flexibility more than I ever had in just 1 hour. The difference was huge. I didn't stick with it so I lost it all again very quickly but if you stick with it I think it can last. You should make sure you do it correctly so you might want to have a yoga or pilates teacher show you what to do until you're comfortable doing it on your own.
