I run 100-110 miles per week and usually do the bulk of my training in moderate weight trainers (Asics Landreth, Nike Pegasus). I have been doing some of my runs lately in more light weight trainers (Asics Speedstar and DS Trainers) and really like the faster feel and lighter weight.
My stride is very efficient but my weight is just average (5'8" 142 lbs). No joint or overuse injuries.
I am thinking of moving more of my normal runs (maybe 10 of my 13 runs per week) to these light weight trainers.
Are there any other high mileage guys out there who run most all of their mileage in light weight trainers (sub 10 oz). Any advice or things I should watch out for?
