Im running my first 800m in a year this weekend. Ive been out injured a long time but have been training away for the last 3-4 months. I eased off the training this week and today i only did some strides and a 300m. I didnt time the 300 but it was at what i would consider to be my race pace. However, when i finished, althought i wasn't majorly out of breath, I was thinking f*** theres no way i could sustain this for another 500m. This is making me a little aprehensive for the weekend. or, is it normal to feel like shit after the first 300m in an 800? Should I feel comfortable for the 1st lap?
