Imagine that. A decent British miler. And everyone tells us only Africans can run.
All he needs to do is take off 3 more seconds and he is as fast as Webb

And all webb needs to do is win a single major competitive race this year.
But he's already a much better racer!

I don't think "everyone" says that, but I often hear people say that the africans have many more super-talents than the rest of the world combined, and it's true.
Other times I hear "everyone" say that all the top africans are on drugs. I guess if that is true, than Baddely must be doped too then, huh?
And he actually won! OMG!
cool!

Really a well run race by Baddeley, patiently stayed near the back while the pacesetter went out way to fast (53ish first quarter I believe), then slowly worked through but stayed on his pace and went by the leaders in the homestretch. Be interesting to see his splits. He sure took advantage of some really, really bad pacing. Funny how some people can pace and some never learn, it seems so simple.
I'm seriously not trying to be an ass. But I was shocked how unhappy Baddeley looked at the finish. It that just the British way of being kind of reserved? Maybe he was exhausted.
But sadly my first thought was "maybe he's doping and feels guilty?". Somebody in Britain reassure me.
I was shocked as I saw him charging down the stretch. I had no idea who he was but I was more excited than he seemed.

Of course you are. What do you want? Backflips?

If the rest of world were as running mad as the E Africans then the E Africans would not have more super talents than the rest of the world combined. They would have a higher percentage of talented individuals in their population pool.
There's little doubt some of the Africans are doping but I've never heard or read anyone saying they all are. The sport that has the highest percentage of PED users has to be the NFL. I'll be the numbers there dwarf all others in terms of competitors on some type of drug.

Pretty impressive for the Brits that they took both the mile and the 1500 at this meet. I don't think too many people would have bet on that beforehand. Could this be the beginning of the long awaited Return of the Limeys?
